One of my first luxury designer handbags was the classic small Gucci pouchette. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I was 22 and worked as a cocktail waitress at a high-end lounge in DC to help me pay for school.  During that time, the economy was great and people were spending money. And international students from GW, AU and Georgetown would drop their daddy’s black Amex card on a $1000- $2000 bottle service check like it was nothing.  Making  $300- $500 cash a night was easy to do, and even easier to spend!  Therefore,  back then, dropping  $300 on a purse didn’t seem like a lot. Tis is when  my love relationship with  Gucci began! From purses to shoes, glasses, belts and wallets;  Casa de Gucci and I were inseparable, but  through the years it turned into a love/ hate relationship. Specifically after Tom Ford‘s departure. They became dull and inconsistent, and for years, I boycotted all Gucci. However, I am happy to report that I am falling in love with it all over again!  Especially with some of the new pieces in their silver collection. I’m also adoring the new Snaffle handbag collection, and could totally rock the aviator glasses JLo is wearing on her new video featuring Pitbull. Excited to see Casa de Gucci is BACK!!  Buenisimo!
